The Future of Hearing Loss Treatment 2017 Scholarship – Find Hearing Aids

The field of hearing loss treatment has come a long way in the past five years, and we are looking forward to the next five. To help facilitate your college path in pre-med, Find Hearing Aids is pleased to offer one general pre-med undergraduate student a scholarship prize. The winner will receive $1,000 USD to use toward his or her college education journey.

To apply for our scholarship, please write an 800 word essay dealing with the subject, “Describe how advancements in technology will affect hearing loss treatment in the next five years." Support your argument with specific examples. Describe your ideal hearing loss clinic. What kind of technology does it have? What kind of support staff does it employ? Where do you see medical advancements heading in the future? Will it be easier and more cost effective for the average American to have surgery?

Submit your essay and any accompanying image files to scholarship@findhearingaids.com with the subject line “Find Hearing Aids Scholarship Entry” by Sept. 1, 2017. Make sure to include your full contact details, the name of your college or university, and your resume. The Find Hearing Aids team will choose the winners after the deadline and announce them on September 15, 2017. No payment or purchase required to enter. The Fine Print

Eligibility:

To apply for the scholarship, the applicant must be a student currently enrolled at a 2-year or 4-year college or university, recognized by the Department of Education in the United States.

Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors

Applicant must have a cumulative college grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4-point scale and be enrolled full-time at an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university in the United States for Fall 2017.

Applicant must use the scholarship toward undergraduate program (i.e. graduate programs not eligible).

Applicants must be studying or planning to study the field of general pre-med.

If the applicant or the applicant’s parent/legal guardian is employed by Find Hearing Aids at the time of award, the student is not eligible for the scholarship. Eligibility of finalists will be verified before winners are selected.

Description of Scholarship Funds

The selected winner will receive a one-time $1,000 USD educational scholarship to be applied to qualified expenses, including undergraduate tuition, fees, books and on-campus room and board for the 2017-2018 academic year. Funds are provided by Find Hearing Aids. Payments issued by Find Hearing Aids are made payable to the student’s approved college or university and mailed after Sept. 15, 2017 directly to the accredited college or university last designated by the student.

Selection and Announcement of Winners

Winners will be selected by the Find Hearing Aids team after the deadline of Sept. 1, 2017. Applicants are judged on quality and thoughtfulness of entries. The winners will be announced on or before Sept. 15, 2017.

Responsibilities of Recipients

The recipient must be actively enrolled full-time as a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior for the 2017-2018 semester and for the entire academic year without interruption, barring illness, emergency or military service. It is the recipient’s responsibility to verify receipt of funds with their designated institution and notify Find Hearing Aids should the award check not arrive on or about 30 days from the issue date. Find Hearing Aids reserves the right to alter or discontinue this program at any time without notice.

By submitting an entry to this competition, you agree that all essay and photo submissions will become the property of Find Hearing Aids and may be used in marketing materials, reposted or displayed online in whole or partial form without notification.
